It's a well planned village for the elephants by Govt of Rajasthan. Very neat and clean. Beautiful chambers for elephants. Well maintained. We met many elephants and also a male elephant. Worth visiting this place as it has many activities like elepahnt ride, games, painting etc

few visitors for a long time

we have every reason to believe that this is a great place to spend time, particularly for those who haven't had previous experiences with elephants. There were no other visitors there when we were there. This COVID season seems to have been very tough for the people with elephants at the village.

Very nice place to observe elephants from close proximity. Lot of elephants living in near natural environment. Social courtyards are there for the elephants to play, roam and socialize.

Jan 2021 • Family
If you really want to have a elephant ride once in your life like me then do it. Price might be better, we given 1100 for 2 person. Like this you will get an idea.

Good experience
Oct 2020 • Family
Hathi gaon we visited in Oct, 20. My kids enjoyed being there. There are about 120 elephants in 7 to 8 acres. Lots of mahout stay there along with their families. Though we liked the place I felt the guides there are looting people. They take 1800 per ride n feeding elephants experience but give no receipts. The payment system kind of looks very adhoc. I felt they keep the poor mahout n their kids deprived. Still i would say hathi gaon gives one an opportunity to come close to elephants n know them. Worth visiting if kids are there. Super exciting for them.

it' s a trap. the elephants are in a bad shape and they charge you exorbitantly high price (200 $ per person) for feeding and walking with the elephants

Dont go here !!
Dec 2019
We asked the Uber to go Ele Safari which seems to have good reviews on Google. The Uber driver insisted that does not exist, we actually reached the place and we did not find any signs of it. We went with his suggestion to go to Elephant Village a sanctuary of Elephants. At the entree we had to pay 250 per person according to ticket this money goes to government of Rajasthan. When you enter the sanctuary, nothing in there looks like like a sanctuary. Looks like a lot of barren land , filled with filthy water. Then we reached a small open house like structure with plastic chairs around, it does not look anything like what I expected. I am pretty sure this not a common thing even in India, that was a huge red flag and this place is very remote place turning back and breaking the timeline was a difficult thing to do.Keeping a positive mindset we went in and we were seated down and greeted by a guy in white clothes and sun glasses. He was sketchy from start , we were given 4 options for riding an elephant and feeding the elephant . We have not looked at the elephants yet. He quoted 1500 for riding and feeding elephant per person , I was not happy with it it was way too much than my expectations. I wanted to stick to my plan and hoping the elephants are kept in good condition we were okay with it. We got on the ride and notice that the elephant did not look in a good shape. I was really sorry for the elephant all along the ride , we got off the elephant. We feed the elephant which was more satisfactory.Later I complained about this to the uber driver who got us here, he was supportive of the people who maintained them.

Don't go here , going here will make you regret your trip,
