This is the 4th highest peak of Montenegro and the highest peak that is entirely inside Montenegro and perhaps the most famous of all the mountains in the country. We climbed the well marked trail from the Black Lake and took around 3 hrs to...More

We walked from the edge of Zabljak which is a decent hike: 17km return with out 1200m ascent. Very rocky with a big boulder field to cross before the final ascent and then a scree slope. Fixed wire on the exposed summit section. No special...More

In the summer, be sure to leave very early in the morning, as it's very crowded on the top later in the day. And wear some decent hiking shoes, most of the visitors were climbing up there in ordinary sneakers and that's just an accident...More

We hiked from "Sedlo" pass to Bobotov Kuk peak. Climbing took 4 hours of steady speed (one side), return faster. Road is fully marked - you will not miss. Sometimes it's not so easy due to steep ascent or stone chippings on the slope, but...More

We were quite in doubt wether to do the hike or not, as most of the reviewers here rate it as a scary and super hard one. The reason was that we only had our running shoes, the forecast predicted a thunder at 13 oclock...More

If you ask Montenegro people about this peak, no question, most of them will tell you that this mountain and Bobotov kuk are national pride of their country. With the reason, I must admit. The hike itself (no matter direction you take) is stunning. Scenery,...More

I generally hike on my own, since I do work as a mountain guide for a local company from Sarajevo, Bosnia called Green Visions. If you need any help or guiding assistance, let me know. Greetings.

Hi there. End of April is too early for regular hiking. Too much snow and without ice axe and crampons, don't even try... Good luck.
