We visited the centre at around 5pm, as recommended. The lady who ran it gave us a guided tour of the facilities and explained about all the animals that are currently at the center. They have some very rare Margay cats. They also have a...More

The staff really care for the animals they are housing here. It was also appreciated that they let us return to see the animals days after our first visit.

Owner provides good commentary on wildlife. Worth going at feeding times. Entrance fee allows you to return in evening (see nocturnal animals). Nice to see La Selva provides refuge for some endangered species

Personally guided thru zoo by proprietor who was very knowledgeable. All animals looked well cared for with full water bowls, all looked well fed, they had good sized cages, and had lots of shade. The owner obviously cared a great deal for all the animals.
