This is the most beautiful place. I've referred to autumn in the review title but at any time of year it is fantastic. As well as the beauty of the huge Arboretum you can delight in stroking the friendly wallabies and watching the meerkats and...More

We have visited twice this year with our 2 year old daughter and two different groups of friends. We love it and will probably get a annual membership next year. We visited in the summer and again this weekend for the Halloween trail, beautiful in...More

The trees and raptors are great, but if you want to know more about a tree you need to either buy the complete catalogue of trees (a book of 1000's for £4), or take a note of the tree's number (all are numbered but not...More

I should have called. Visited on 8th October and probably 2 weeks too early for the full effect of the native trees. Still stunning. Lots of colour. 84 acres and a falconry display for £8.99 per adult for 3.5 hours. Go figure. Proper Yorkshire value....More

The woodland walks are stunning at this time of year. Vast areas to walk around and take in the view. Great for photographers. The autumn colours are brilliant. Lots of birds, goats, marketeers and wallabies to see and get up close to. The meet the...More

The arboretum is very beautiful particularly at this time of year (October) with the leaves changing colour. We were disappointed that the tree names were not displayed but you had to pay extra for a reference book for this. Isn't that the whole point of...More

We have been regular visitors over the years and seasons. The arboretum is always well worth a visit, but better signage on the paths would have made correlation with the map easier. We were a retired soldier, a scout leader and a walk leader and...More

Had seen impressive photos on Thorp Perrow web site of the cakes in the cafe so we decided to visit at a weekend with the intention of going in the garden afterwards. Thankfully we didn't pay upfront for the gardens but went in the cafe...More

Lovely autumnal walk around grounds. Cafe is a big disappointment, clean and tidy but food a poor standard. Ploughman' lunch shocking, assembler needs to just go online for some much needed tips. Could be so much better. Stick to the grounds or quick coffee/tea

Expensive entrance fee for an hours walk in the woods. No entrance to house of gardens. Disappointed by birds of Prey display, hidden in cages, hard see though wires. The animals in the mammals enclosure didn't look healthy and had limited space. You have to...More

i personally would pay at the door as it could be raining if your ticket is dated and its not really a place to walk round in the rain.
