Had a bit of fodder in the tearoom. Very pleasant area to walk around. Birds of prey displays a delight and the lady very knowledgeable. Moses was splendid. What a character. Thorp Perrow desperately needs to update it's aged signs and posters. No excuses here really. They are non existent in some areas or are so badly faded they're unreadable.... More

Even on a cold day we enjoyed our walk around the grounds following the snowdrops trail. The animal centre was great and we met two very friendly wallabies. The park area was great for children and adults. I would recommend wellies as it was muddy this time of year. I would highly recommend a visit.

When me and two male friends went, it was brilliant loads of fun wondering around, and having an owl just over a foot over my head after ducking it was brilliant will definitely be taking my daughter once bigger..

Visited last week just for coffee and cake with a friend. Quiet as out of season but lovely for a natter and catch up! Best to visit when weather better so you can spend more time. Take a picnic, wander round the beautiful grounds and wonder at beautiful birds of prey. A great day out for families, couples and friends.

The trees and even blossom in January were well worth a visit. The cafe and bird of prey display were open and the wallabies and merecats worth seeing. Well worth half a day even in January

If you like wandering around nature then this is great. Some of the trees are so tall.. The trails are good for kids as there are little chainsaw carvings scattered around and appear out of the undergrowth. The weather is obviously important but when we visited it was a dry cold day, we almost had the place to ourselves. It... More

First time here and loved it. Beautiful location in Bedale, fair admission prices, great little cafe and lots of parking. The falconry demonstration was really good. well worth a visit.

Definitely a must when in the area and very eager to visit again during the Summer. Bring a picnic and you could probably wile away a good few hours. Splendid place.

We are RHS members and have wanted to visit Thorp Perrow for a long time. We went on an event day just before Christmas only to find that our free membership was not available that day. The lady on the desk was very harassed trying to deal with visitors, the phone ringing and even someone from the cafe asking advice.... More
