Cannot believe that I forgot to leave a review of this place, which I experienced for the very last time in November 2015... I live in Rottingdean and have enjoyed many a summer day on the terrace of this pub. There are lots of pubs in the village, but for outdoor space and views, this one wins hands down. Service... Boxing Day spread £24.99 per head – all meals booked in advanced and paid for so they knew how many were coming and at what time, to give them time to prepare (ha-ha). This was without doubt the worse meal/customer service/presentation that I have experienced in my life (and I have eaten in some dives). To start-Table set for the... More

Popped into the pub for a quick lunch. Sat outside, tables left uncleared hence seagulls where having a feast!!! Food and drinks mediocre. But the worst thing was receiving a car parking ticket some 2 months later. We genuinely did not see any parking signs. So we contacted the white horse for help, who were totally unsympathetic and unhelpful. When... More

This place is awful. Came for a meal as relatives were staying in the hotel. The communication between staff is terrible (table confirmed by phone and at check-in yet on the night no one had a clue about the reservation), service was painfully slow (an hour for food- bearing in mind two of us had salad) and food was stodgy,... Bad bad service. Food terrible , cold food, takes a long time to come, when a complaint was lodged the manager seemed not that bothered , seems this establishment has problems and I would avoid. A pity as it has a lovely view of beach.

Heres the thing. We went here for a meal it was nice enough but was a busy night. It would have been fine if we didn't overstay in the car park. Then comes a threatening 100 pound fine. Lots of threatening letters. Another regular customer lost. Avoid this one.

Lovely bar right on the beach and it's dog friendly too. They even have an area where you can help yourself (for the dog of course) to clean bowls and water.

We went there last week. Ordered roast and had drinks. I can go there for drinks but definitely not for food. One of the worst meat ever and the service was not great either
