We went out for a bike ride and decided to break it up with a visit to Appldurcombe House. The kids loved the freedom of the open space, running about and hiding etc. Noticed a rope swing in the gardens too but wanted to press...More

A visit to use your imagination and immerse yourself in time gone by! A part preserved Tudor house and so glad it is. Step back in time! Free entry and worth a visit. Only takes about an hour and the views are amazing.

Was well worth the visit to see this fascinating piece of history. There are some excellent photo oppotunities here especially when you back up and see the entire house in one photo. Really nice to go around and read the information boards.

Impressive stately home, now in ruin, worth a visit if passing - free to get in. Interesting history surrounding the house and the family.

Free to park and free to look around, worth a look if your passing. Gardens are pretty. Just a shell of the house remains but it's interesting to see a different side to a stately home.

The property is owned by English Heritage and in any case is free to look around and has free parking. The building is unusual in that it has been partially restored so that visitors can get an impression of the grandeur from years ago with...More

If you know the story of the scandalous lady W, then this is absolutely for you. With a little imagination you can see the splendour of what once was. I have nothing but love for this place.
