we got to Pyrgos by chance and found it the prettiest on Santorini. Not too touristic, beautiful little streets with souvenirs, and a perfect view from the top.

Good place to explore for a couple of hours. A lot of steps and narrow alleys but lovely view of the whole Island at the top. Not crowded and not too touristy, just a few souvenir shops along the path and a few cafe to...More

This was quintessential Santorini, without the crowds of Fira! We walked up and down hilly alleys with shops, churches and homes...chatted with artists, took photos. Was a very pleasant way to wrap up our trip to Santorini.

We rented an authentic village home in the cultural village during our one week stay on Santorini- best decision ever. It's about a half hour drive to Oia but far more affordable & less touristy. There are also wineries, beaches, & cultural attractions all within...More
