Great views on the day we visited, no wind and very hot. Just had a short walk around and we didn’t expect to see any penguins as they are out during the day. Just a lovely place to admire the view from.

Easy access. Short walk from the carpark and great views from the headland. You can certainly spend time here and explore the nearby coastline. Although I image, it could be windy here, the bonus is visitors would often have this place to themselves to enjoy...More

We stayed in the light keepers cottage next to the lighthouse. Awesome views of the heads and the ocean. The cottage is more a house that sleeps up to 9. The lighthouse still works at night and the air foghorn will go off every Sunday....More

Every Sunday at noon the fog horn sounds at the light house, amazing, only one in the Southern Hemisphere.

Certainly worth paying a visit whilst in Low Head. Nice lighthouse with a lot of historic value, well maintained. Interesting on Sunday when the foghorn is on at noon - really impressive!

We had read about the Lighthouse in numerous tourist brochures and online, and given it's only an easy 45 minute highway drive from Launceston, it's well worth the visit. The property is very well maintained, everything looked freshly painted, and even on such a windy...More

This is a place to visit just for the views in every direction. Yes no shops, nice spot just to wander at our history and it's free! There is a little goat track you can go down but need good hiking shoes on.

You are free to simply walk around the lighthouse and get a great view of the northern coastline. No entry fee, no shops, no cafe. Just enjoy the quiet surrounds.

Low Head Lighthouse was the last destination of our Tamar Valley road trip and it was definitely a highlight - because of the sunset we saw! Near the lighthouse, If you walk by the side of the cottages, towards the LowHead penguin colony, you could...More

Great views up and down the coast, and great to see a piece of history kept in working order even better if you're around oat Midday on a Saturday when they fire up the fog horn.
