Great Experience
Sep 2021
WE have never seen or been on a Cable Ferry, All in All a 3 minute Ride. Staff was excellent. The cost was FREE. This is an experience that only you can experience. Lots of construction ( Road Paving) approaching the Ferry from the North.

Short boat ride

Very short ride, staff were efficient and then all of a sudden we docked. A safe and free crossing (no charge -Covid). A great short boat ride with beautiful scenery.

Located along first part of the Cabot Trail after Baddeck. 5 minute ferry ride. Saves you at least 15 minutes of driving. $7 one way trip. COVID-19 no charge for the time being!

We were grateful for this ferry and we had excellent speedy service. The family of foxes was a treat to see as well- just don't feed them!

One way to get to Cabot Trail
Oct 2019
About 3 minutes long, this little ferry is a unique experience and serves as a shortcut across a body of water. Water is everywhere on Cape Breton Island, and our guide told us that a bridge in this particular location is impractical.

Shortest ferry I ever travelled

Short, quick ferry on a beautiful road towards to the Cape Breton Highland Park. Be careful not for RVs!

Yes I would recommend this short (less than 5 minutes) ferry ride to save 30 minutes of driving when heading to the Cabot Trail.

Cool Ride
Aug 2019
This is a cable ferry. It is a very short trip. I runs continuously as it loads and unloads. Stop at a look off prior to getting back down to sea level. cool.
