A positive experience
Oct 2020
We actually bypassed this earlier in the day because The Dancing Moose down the road won out (a mistake—see my review) and there was a lineup outside. So, we stopped by on our return trip.

Small store, but it had the basics we needed; the gift shop has reasonably-priced souvenirs; and the lobster sandwiches were simple, but delicious.

The cashier was friendly and helpful, so that was a nice palate-cleanser from our service experience at the Dancing Moose.

If you’re looking for gourmet food, this place isn’t it, but it definitely hit the spot and we would happily stop in again

Great lobster sandwiches
Aug 2020 • Couples
Great place to stop for some snacks. They have the best huge lobster sandwiches here. Just lobster and homemade bread without too much filler stuff. Yum. Sometimes the lobster is from frozen.

Good spot for a quick stop
Aug 2019
This spot is ok, but I think it's overhyped. I would suggest planning on a quick stop (5 mins) grabbing a lobster sandwich to go, and eating it at the public park on top of old smokey. The lobster sandwich is packed full, and makes for a nice picnic lunch.

Wreck Cove General store
Aug 2019 • Couples
This is an amazing store on the Cabot Trail. It is chock full of interesting and varied merchandise. The owners, Jenn and Brent work in the store and are always available to answer questions. They are helpful and friendly. This is a must stop on the Cabot Trail. They also have 2 cottages that they rent out.

Nice stop on the road
Aug 2019 • Couples
We needed to stretch and take a break from the winding roads on the Cabot Trail... so we stopped here! What a quaint store with rustic charm. The folks were friendly and willing to answer our questions about the area. Souvenirs were priced reasonably and cold drinks and snacks were available- even lobster sandwiches!

Clean port-o-pots too.

It's worth the few minutes to check it out.

Great gifts and treats
Jul 2019
Listen I have one thing to say....when you can walk out with some favorite moose poop treats and gifts and laugh your butt off about it then there's a good time!!!

In all seriousness, there is something for everyone here and you have to make a stop on way along your travels!

Great Place to Stop Along the Cabot Trail
Aug 2019
This small General store has great buys on gifts, shirts and some of the best ice cream you will ever eat!! The Fresh Ice Cream, especially the Blueberry Cream, was OUTSTANDING. They have fresh lobster and crab sandwiches in the fridge and hot coffer ready anytime.

Great Stop
Aug 2019 • Friends
Good place to stop and get sandwiches/beverages and other items while traveling the Cabot Trail. There is a resident crow they feed he’s quite accustomed to people coming and going and quite fun to watch if you happen to catch the feeding time. Nice folk on staff as well.

All about the lobster sandwich!
Jul 2019 • Couples
This place looks and feels old and authentic. Everyone was super friendly. But we came for the lobster. It's served on thick 'Texas toast' style bread. Plenty of lobster inside. Could easily feed two people. Fresh and tasty. The store is small, but full of personality. Souvenirs, a bathroom, and basic supplies all here!

Great services and location!
Jul 2019 • Friends
Loved this general store! They had a little bit of everything; necessities, supplies and souvenirs!
Had a homemade bbq'd burger here....delicious! Also bought a crab sandwich and a lobster sandwich; both on homemade bread and 1 1/2 pound of meat on each sandwich! So much to see in this store, could have stayed there much longer.
Owners and staff were super friendly with great customer service!
Well worth stopping!!
