La Chiesa è molto bella, sia il portale che l'interno, ampia con tanti affreschi e statue; ricco di iniziative il programma per i frequentatori. Unica pecca: sul sito dovrebbero indicare l'orario delle messe che manca, mentre è utile per favorire la presenza dei visitatori non locali.

La chiesa presenta una bella facciata in pietra pugliese, gli interni sono un po' spogli.
È suggestivo passeggiare per i vicoletti e all'improvviso trovarsi davanti la facciata della chiesa.

Скромная симпатичная деревенская церковь в городке Аветрана.Людей практически нет,дети играют на церковной площади.Полное название церкви Церковь святого Иоанна Крестителя,была открыта здесь в 18 веке,красивый строгий декор фасада.Внутрь мы не попали

Bella chiesa del 700 al centro di Avetrana; tipica facciata pugliese; peccato non aver potuto visitare meglio l'interno perché non illuminata. Ci ritorneremo.

Il silenzio. Il fresco in estate, al riparo dal sole. La pietra leccese. Ogni aspetto ferma il tempo in questa chiesa, lontana dalla classica iconografia, significante al di là del significato (religioso e artistico)

La chiesa madre. Nel nostro paese è un punto di riferimento per tutta la comunità. Di recente è stata rifatta la pavimentazione ... Sempre tenuta bene. Da visitare.

Come sempre una chiesa che testimonia la tradizione salentina. Una chiesa povera, ma ricca di fascino per l'atmosfera di umile devozione. Bella la statua di San Biagio sopra l'altare. Il pavimento è stato da poco rifatto grazie al lodevole contributo della banca del paese.
