This fort overlooks the Bay of Bengal, but the museum inside does not seem to be well maintained. The fort is basic and there is not much to see.

It's a poorly restored fort, on the beach. Was damaged during the Tsunami. Go there to enjoy some good sea breeze and view. Not much of history, all cellars are locked, overgrown shrubs n grass on the lawn. We parked in Bungalow on the beach, had a snack and a cool drink, the view of the fort, beach and the... More

If you are on the ECR drive, do visit this place if its not mid-noon. Evenings should be good. Nothing much in the fort to see other than some artifacts from 16th century. Beach is right in front and not easily accessible. Boulders all around. You can sit and relax for a while and continue on the trip. If you... More

The Fort looks great from the jetty. It has quiet recently been renovated but a visit yields few additional discoveries - a few documents relating to this Danish trading posts, some photographs. Most rooms are not accessible though enticingly labelled e.g Store for wine and spirits... If only.

This historical piece of Danish colonial times is being renovated and revived nicely by the Danish and Indian societies, and is becoming very attractive and lively to visit. The museum needs some liveliness, and the need of having toilets for the visitors is urgent.

This is right across from the Bungalow on the beach, where we stayed. We had a good view of the fort from our balcony. We went in to visit the fort at around 4 pm. That is the right time to go. It is open from 10 am to 5.30 pm. Also, it is closed on fridays. This is a... More

Nice fort, though very small but still, the entire place and surrounding make this fort much more better place. And off course right on the edge of the sea, awesome place.

The fort has been maintained very poorly. There are different designated areas like the soldiers resting area, poultry area etc..etc..However all of these have a steel gate and have been locked. When you look inside they are being used as dumping areas for left over construction, electrical, plumbing material. The museum has a few document copies from that era, some... More
