So much to see - animals seem happy

Best zoo we have ever been to by a long way. Such massive enclosures and so many species (over 200). The vip experiences (primates and giraffes) were well worth it. The guides... read more

Best zoo we have ever been to by a long way. Such massive enclosures and so many species (over 200). The vip experiences (primates and giraffes) were well worth it. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable with good English which was much appreciated. It was quiet season so we virtually had the place to ourselves. Saw all the animals easily.... More

Took our 2 year old around the park and spend a good 4 hours. Definitely the best zoo which I have ever been to, able to really get close to all animals. If you're in the area, even without kids, I'd recommend a visit.

We enjoyed our visit to this zoo; the animals have plenty of space and looked content. It's late September and so there weren't many visitors but we wish we'd taken a picnic. The cafe shut after lunch (which was when we arrived) so the only refreshments were coffee and very expensive drinks from vending machines. There are a good selection... More

This is one of the best zoos I have ever visited, it has a train, rhino, white tigers and giraffes that will come over and give you a good look over...the sheer variety of creatures you can see in one afternoon is mind-blowing, and all within a short walk. There is an enclosure where you can pet goats and hairy... More

Visited today for the first time following a recommendation from family. We arrived at 10am and left at 5pm. The day was great and all 5 of us had a great time. We started off on the yellow route and followed the signs round, the kids loved searching for the animals in their large and spacious accomodation. The route was... More

While there was a bit of less good weather we planned to visit the zoo with our kids, hoping it would be good enough to keep them busy and happy for a while. Our hopes were met, even beter the experience exceeded our hopes. We stated with the red trail, had a late lunch before going on the yellow trail... More

I visited here with my wife, 7 month old son and 14 year old brother in law. A great day was had by all. The highlight of the day was getting to touch and feed giraffes, amazing! The place is pretty big and took us a good 4 hours to get round. The cafe we had lunch in was reasonably... More

Unlike most reviews here, we weren't very delighted about our trip to this zoo. Yes, the animals have huge housing, but I seriously missed something in this zoo. There was no surveillance whatsoever, a kid could easily climb over some small fence or wall and fall into the lion's housing or such, and it felt like we were walking around... More

We went here with my parents, and my two children (3 and 2 years old). This was the 2nd time we had been here and it's fab. Lovely animals, beautiful walks and easy access. Lots of room for picnics and a great train ride. Lovely to feed giraffe too!

Thank Jemma M
