The new18 hole par 72 championship Penina golf course is now open. The course features several historical landmarks and is adjacent to the airport and Aggie Grey’s resort. The course can play from 6300 to 7500 yards with real sand bunkers and will provide a challenge for all. Players will be treated to beautiful views of Samoa. The course features all modern conveniences: driving range, new Club Car golf carts and new Cobra rental clubs.

Unfortunately, what was probably the best course on the island is now reverting back to jungle. Staff at Sheraton confirmed it was closed when I rang (wanted to play there). I drove past the course two days later and it's been closed for a while....More

This course is very challenging but thoroughly enjoyable! There are several dog-legs, water hazards, including the sea, those wonderful deep bunkers and undulating landscape with plenty of big trees with drooping branches. Love the drinks cart that comes around quite often to sell you snacks,...More

UPDATE. This course is closed. Hotel staff confirmed it's closed and they don't know if it will reopen. Drove past and it's very overgrown. Doesn't look like anything has been done for a year.
