This was an amazing blue pond in Hokkaido. I went there around 10am. If I could get there much earlier, I could see much more blue one. You can see the same pond on your Mac book screen as well.

made famous by Apple screen savers, this blue pond is now a tourist attraction if you are driving, look out for the sign (we missed it), there's a big off road parking for buses and cars (cars have to go to the deeper carpark) which...More

We visited this place on our way to Suonkyo on a very cold day and hence there was almost nobody. It felt unreal with the dead trees in the blue water and snow all around. Worth the detour!

really beautiful, you can park and walk in the clear path, instead of walking up and down through the rocky trails..but it is beautiful!!!

U will need a car to get here. Parking spaces are adequate at this time of the year. The pond is really blue and it feels a little creepy at times. Quite an interesting experience, walk around the pond to see it from different angles.

It's better to go to Biei first to visit the Blue Pond. Then to Furano as there's more to see at Furano besides Tomita Farm. So the balance of your time after Biei will decide how much to cover in Furano. Check google map... More

It would be very snowy. If you are comfortable driving in winding, frozen, snowy road on the opposite side( driving seat opposite, blinker and wiper opposite from the US), rent a car from Sapporo. If it is snowed heavily... More
