Road stations or Michi no Eki are to be found all over Hokkaido. They are generally good places to stop for refreshments and to buy local produce. Sometimes you have to get in early before the best pickings are scooped up. In summer, Biei, a working farm community, has delicious fruit and vegetables.

Biei's michi no eki, road station shop, is well stocked with local produce. If you like Biei's agricultural produce, this is worth a stop. It is just 5 minutes walk from JR Biei - turn left after you exit the station facing the main road.

Could be the busiest toilet stop in Hokkaido. Crowded. Nothing to see other than the typical tourist junk stores.
