We skied 4 days out of 8, the slopes were uncrowded and we never had to queue for lifts (we did see a long queue for the gondola one morning but didn't join it!) Lift passes are electronic RFID cards so you need a pocket...More

We went early in the season (between Xmas and NY) and there wasn't a lot of snow so it was pretty disappointing as there was still a LOT of people on mountains which only had a few runs open. This wouldn't have been too bad...More

Good facilities and a beautiful place to visit for boarding or skiing. One negative... the place is quite spread out, there are busses around, but can be quite a pain for the amount of people around.

Also - in thinking about it - be sure to inquire ahead of time at the tourist information office in Hakuba, (which is also where you can catch some of the buses). They are very helpful.
