Avoid at all costs. OVERCROWDED to the point of being dangerous. You cannot possibly enjoy this site as all serenity has been removed by the OVERCROWDING. You will find people all around you including below you. You cannot possibly see this place for a natural experience as all nature has been destroyed at this location. Go elsewhere, trust me. God forbid you actually paid to go here.

Awesome place to come visit for snorkeling and or diving. Unseated is neat and you can really take in the beauty. There is also some cool tunnels to get into the cave. Watch out for all the tourists they have no situational awareness.

If the Blue Cave is worth visiting then it's because of how hilariously absurd of an experience it is. To be clear, the cave itself is actually quite nice, this is not the issue. The problem is that calling the cave 'overcrowded' would be an understatement. During peak periods, the cave is surrounded by an armada of charter boats and, at least when I went, the inside of the cave was essentially a mosh pit. A 3-dimensional mosh pit at that, because not only was the sea surface crowded, there was an entire additional layer of crowded beginner scuba divers below. It was quite a surreal experience - not one that I particularly regretted since I had swam there myself so hadn't paid anything, but if I had paid to be part of a group visiting the cave, I'd have been pretty annoyed. I can imagine that the cave could be quite pleasant if you went very early in the morning but it's unbearable during peak periods.

About 5000 yen. 15 minutes to the reef by boat about 20-30 minutes in really better than I expected sort kel tour. Clear water and great fish. Fine tour. Do it after breakfast . Great with kids.

Please avoid this place if you love nature.
It's overcrowded to a point that it is not sustainable or enjoyable any longer.
Too many people are not respecting the nature: damaging the corals and affecting the local sea life.

We went in the morning on a weekday so not too crowded. Observing the guided tours, they were excellent with their customers and cute to see even grandmas being taken there with floats for when they tired.
A bit of a waste if scuba diving - explore the rest of the reef instead of spending time here as resting in the air above water level is more suited for snorkelers and down below is usual stuff.
The centre itself is clean with very reasonable parking rates. Y200 for a shower which is enough for a quick rinse over for two blokes. Rentals available which seemed at reasonable prices.
You do need adequate footwear at the entry point as the rocks are deeply pitted and sharp. If using slip-on fins, bring a carabiner to attach your footwear to something on yourself as leaving it on the small space is risking a potential wave taking them away. Flip flops not ideal.

Blue Cave is a beautiful place to dive or snorkel with lots if sea life, like the blue ringed octopus, but it can get extremely crowded on the weekends. There are lots of tours and classes held there. It’s an easy entry point, but sometimes a line forms to get in the ocean as well as to swim into the cave. It’s worth seeing if you don’t mind the crowd or can go during a weekday. Make sure to check if it’s open because sometimes it closes based on the sea condition.

Best snorkeling 🤿 crystal clear, tons of sea life, calm seas, warm water, friendly professional staff! Highly recommend doing this and a whale watch. Morning and off season is best. 03/27/2020

Great experience. Excellent visibility. Even in March on a cloudy day, about 68F, in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak, there are lots of people here. Shore and boat access available. Recommend boat as it is a long staircase down into the water and about a 100 yard swim to the cave. Check Take Dive dive shop near the Blue Cave.

Went here for scuba diving and place is over crowded with people overflowing from everywhere. You need to take the stairs down to water and can either go swimming or snorkeling or diving to visit the blue cave. It's just the sky opening on one side which makes water blue in color and hence the name. Their are better places to discover in Okinawa for sure than this crowded place.
