One of the historic castles on Okinawa that are classified by UNESCO as World Heritage sites. The structures are impressive; the castle is surrounded by a beautiful ine forest offering welcome shade in the Okinawan heat.

Zakimi castle is the site with stone walls that shapes the most beautiful curve for me. A little out of the way for me but I liked this castle a lot. There were almost no other people there so it was nice to explore in peace and quiet.

This is a nice site but don't go out of your way. The castle walls are large but not much for this site. Nice views of the ocean from the top and we walked back to town. If you're short on time, other sites will...More

Came here to check out some history along with finding some geocaches. Really nice day and time here. The ruins are pretty neat to see. Easy hike and walk, also it's nice to see at night when they have lights on

The castle is very well maintained. It is located in the heart of city with lots of other neat sites to visit close by. It is also after attraction.
