This is just along the way from my cycling route so I decided to stop by. It has free admission. when you get inside, you will see the old ways people do to make soy sauce. You will see there some old bottles of soy sauce and new ones today. Big barrels are also displayed inside.

It is not only just a soy sauce but also part of our history! This is a museum to show us how soy sauce became a big part of Shodoshima's cultures and industry. I do not known about Marukin Soysouce. Maybe I had it before or not. It was free entrance to Memorial museum. There are Marukin Soysouce ice cream that I wanted to try it. But I didn't this time. Hope to next time!:)

The memorial has all the old tools used for making soy sauce, but if you have no previous exposure to these items, it might be difficult to understand what you see. But the immediate area around this memorial is great spot for a little walk. You enjoy soy sauce smell, bunch of old soy sauce factories, traditional homes etc. Enjoy... More
