We really wanted to see this. The parking lot at the base of rhetoric hill is too far for some people to walk. The road up is 1 1/2 lanes wide, with no guard rail. Cars start parking about 1/ 2 way m up. There...More

This is a great way to spend 2 hours. The castle was re-build in the beginning of last sentury and it's completely true to its origin. Be aware that parking is sparse at the castle but you can park along the road leading up to...More

We learnt while there that the castle will be in Game of Thrones S7 which for my teenagers was another reason to love this castle. It was fully restored in the early 1900`s and there is an interesting film telling the story. While we were...More

Lovely presence when viewed from afar and better from car park. Unfortunately it doesn't open until 11am and this did not agree with our travel arrangements.

This was a sight for sore eyes. Even our youngest kids (5 and 7) found this place breathtaking. Scenery and view, telling the stories of history. If you are in the area, well worth to spend and hour or two!

A great castle, beautifully restored, with a commanding view of the environment. Unexpectedly we got a free entrance (because it was Wednesday afternoon..?), and had a leisurely look around.

This is more a romantic, victorian folly than real medieval castle. It was extensively renovated in Edwardian times and now has a Disney World type feeling. It's very pretty though, and makes a nice break on the road from Cordoba to Seville.

We weren't aware of the castle until it appeared looking like something out of a medieval-times movie. It has a great location and young would-be knights will have a great time climbing all over the battlements, but this is not a restored castle. As the...More

Thanks. We are focusing to enjoy kids in the visits, because a bored kid could be really annoying. Anyway, We try to give a cultural vision when we avoid the problem of children

This was the second time I've visited this castle which lies between Seville and Córdoba on the 431. It's an impressive renovation of a once ruined castle that looks magnificent as you approach from the road. It sits on an isolated hill dominating the landscape....More
