An amazing building, inside and out. After 4 years living here, every time I wander round I see something new in the architecture and the stained glass windows are gorgeous. Don't neglect the old gravestones for an insight into the area's history.

I was prompted to do this visit after attending a lecture in which Brechin Cathedral was praised as a small jewel of medieval Scotland- which indeed it is . It ranks alongside Dunblane and Dornoch in terms of beauty. What it lacks however is the...More

Brechin Cathedral is an interesting building with a round tower and a magnificently well kept cemetery around it. Nice visit when it is sunny.

This place is interesting if you are looking for something to do. Otherwise, there are prettier cathedrals in Scotland.

What a beautiful place - the stained glass windows are breathtaking, such vivid colours. Plenty of information about the place tells the history - a great sense of peace as well.

WexwentvtomBrechin for the football and having time to spare explored the town. I then discovered the cathedral down quiet lane. An amazing building and so old and full of history. And the round tower at the back is unique. I sat on a bench and...More

A very small, nearly as small as some village churches, Cathedral with an attached rare ancient round tower, which is not accessible internally. There is some lovely recent stained glass and there are history panels to explain the Cathedrals development from Pictish origins. Has to...More
