Innerleithen, situated just a few miles south east of Glentress is the preserve of the more experienced rider. Deemed as providing awesome downhill and freeride trails, as well as a cracking red-graded XC route.

Innerleithen is just along the road from the Glentress Trail centre and provides a different type of riding and is accessible via the Sustrans multi use path from both Peebles and Glentress. Leaving the car park which by the way has zero facilities, it is just a car park, you are straight into a tough climb which will have you... More

This place is fantastic, called in after two days riding glentress not expecting to be that impressed. Defiantly don't over look Innerleithen it's just as good if not better than glentress, I didn't do any of the dedicated down hill lines just the marked red route twice.. Will defiantly be back to ride it again awesome

Have visited here a few years ago and cant really remember that experience but after this weekends visit really loved it. Glentress is just down the road and more of a trail centre where this is just up and then coming down! its a hard climb up - approx. 6 miles pretty much going up and up. Yes its hard... More

Innerleithen by contrast to Glentress is only a few miles down the road, however it is a different riding experience than its more famous trail centre. Innerleithen has a much more natural / technical appeal and would suit more advanced riders. On either side of the village lies some great trails and any local bike shop will point you in the... A little bit of everything. Great climbing, but the decent probably requires a downhill bike. It could be quite intense but really fun. Great place to ride.

Steep climb right from the car park but this is a great place to ride. Really good fast single track down with plenty of technical difficulty and chicken runs for the not so brave. More edgy than Glentress and not nearly so weatherproofed. Not for the kids here and food and drink are in the village its self, over the... More

The 7Stanes mountain biking trails were in the backyard of Innerleithen. While we did not come equipped to bike, we did hike the up-hill routes of the trails and enjoyed some phenomenal views.

After riding Glentress, I really wanted to cover the Red graded XC route at Innerleithen. It's about 5 miles bike ride that follows the old railway tracks that parallels the River Tweed. Riding up Innerleithen is tough. After a morning at Glentress, I was getting quite frustrated and lonely as I approached the barren landscape at the second half of... More
