C1 ( 2013.05.31 ) There was a old temple in hillside of Gyeryong-mountain where is famous with good view in Korea. It's a temple like many others, albeit one with a famous history. Unfortunately, most people coming here are too tired after hiking for 5+ hours through the national park, that they don't have energy for enjoying this temple, but are just looking for some food and drink. Objectively, it's not more or less specials than the 1000s of other temples... More

Gapsa Temple is an easy day trip from Gongju. If you are considering hiking in Gyeryongsan Mountain National Park, it is worthwhile to stop and look at Gapsa. While walking around the temple you can see the traditional kimchi jars that are used for making kimchi.
