A really amazing active Vulcano, with lots of smoking sulphur holes what you can see really near! Their is also an amazing Nature blue- and steaming river. It's really really easy to get their by car or bike you can drive to the top, entrance is 200000 Rp and then you walk 20 minutes to the top

After a warm welcome in our bambu villa, a delisious traditional fish bbq was served. Later we fell asleep with local campfire songs to wake up around 5 for an interesting walk on the active Papandayan volcano. The sunrise is wonderful, the dead forest is mysterious and the locals are lovely. I go back soon!

Started the trek at 4AM and took only around 1,5 hours to the sunrise point. The trek worth with the beautiful sulfur landscape and the dead forest.

Dew was blocking the road on the way up. My kids love the scenery and the excitement of climbing up. Beautiful. Lots of people enjoying the mountain.
