A local recommended we visit this fort and they were right. Better maintained and more interseting than the other forts in the area, including Nizwa. Has amazing ceilings and also audio-guided tour included in the price. Just visit this fort.

I have visited in a previous trip Bahala Fort, but Jibreen is on another level! Smaller than Bahla, but much better preserved. The woodworks are extraordinary and it is just a gem. The kids loved the pray room, the court room with the two doors...More

This fort has an audio guide and that makes it more enjoyable than most of the forts that do not. See the sun and moon rooms and listen. This and Rustaq were our favorites. The audio tells so many interesting things.

This gives the real feeling of the life of the Imam - the fort is well preserved and the painted ceilings worth seeing

Surprisingly large fort, well restored. Great views from the rooftop. Wander at your own pace or join a tour group if possible.

We loved Jabrin Fort. It is literally one of the most wonderful forts I have visited in the region. It was beautifully refurbished, gorgeous inside and a joyous experience all round. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit.

This fort retains some of its character (mostly a few furnishings) that give one a feel for what it must have been like in its heyday. Many of the ceilings have interesting decorations and it has lots of rooms!
