Lovely woods to investigate, amazing area to walk your dogs, nice and relaxing. Putting area, and also has pony/ and horse rides on set tracks. Restaurant if you get peckish.

I've run through here a couple of times recently. There are some nice trails through the woods, but it is easy to get lost and come out on to a golf course, which always worries me a little. Other areas are a bit too crowded,...More

We visited today and followed the Sculpture Trail, which took around 45 minutes. We had a nice amble through the woods and used the free downloadable app to navigate the sculptures. Beforehand we went to the cafe in the Visitor Centre and had a cream...More

It is open all year round - the woods and reserve that is. The visitors centre is run by Essex Wildlife so usual opening hours but check their website for specicific times.
