Visited here last year with my brother and my Swedish cousin and her husband. I had been here before when I was 11 and the factory was still fully operating. The town is much quieter now but it was fun to see the factory and the museum. Sentimental for me since my grandfather and two greatfathers were glass blowers here... More

When we first pulled up here and walked from the road side carpark in the front door it was disappointment. Rather ordinary shopping mall. However we thought there must be more to this and walked around the back of the complex to come across the Kosta factory. Directional signage is lacking and after touring the workers locker and shower area... More

Swedish glass is so unique! We got to see a glass blowing demonstration which was so amazing to watch how quickly the objects come together. Great huge selection of original Swedish glass work. Plus the ship for a great price. We shipped a bunch of stuff home and it's all guaranteed.

Kosta Boda offer old tradition glass blowing that is open to the public, it is a great experience to understand the artistic background to the beautiful glass pieces that is also offered for sale at the Kosta Boda glass shop located in the same location.

My husband and I visited both Kosta and Bosda recently. The kostaboda shop is located in Kosta and offers dramatic discounts. There are also displays of glassblowing and the opportunity to make your own. A fun day out!

Being May there were few tourists and the glass bar was not open. Could still see the art work through the window and visit the glassblowing area which was a buzz of activity ( no charge) to go and watch, the interesting exhibit gallery with higher end pieces by glass artists and the shopping outlets. Would imagine when the holiday... More

There is a big difference between Kosta and Boda -- nearly 50 km and a completely different style. After the economic turmoils of recent years, Kosta became a shopping centre with a hotel and restaurants. There are still glass boutiques, but the emphasis is on outlet shops with clothes, shoes, sport equipment. In Boda, a group of artists bought the... More

Kosta Boda was our first stop on a long day of touring in the Kingdom of Glass. It's a big place, with both Kosta Boda and Orrefors retail outlets, a cafe, a gallery, the glass blowing hot room and a somewhat out-of-place factory outlet mall for non-glass items. We were disappointed immediately upon arrival at 10am when told there were... More

Excellent stop on our way between Kalmar and Jonkoping. The staff of the exhibition gallery and tour were very friendly and gave an interesting overview of glass production in the area. Also, the glass factory is open for viewing and you can walk right up (and probably even bump into) the glassmakers hard at work on various wares. We observed... More

An excellent visit for our family. Watched the glass being blown and then you can buy some glass. The set up is alot bigger now with restaurant and bar. I believe there is also a hotel you can stay at. I was even given the opportunity to try blowing the glass....not successful
