Champaner is a place worth visiting for history lovers. Visit the place during sunrise for some good pictures though the entry timings' are after 8.00am. Jami masjid and she her ki masjid are worth visiting for It's architecture. Other places to visit are Nagina masjid,Kevada masjid, kabutarkhana.the site is truly a heritage.

The place is good in terms of architectural beauty. However this does not worth the entry fee for this place. There is nothing inside.

Located between Surat and Godhar, on state highway, which in self is managed far better than expressways in the country, Chmpaner is a UNESCO world heritage site. Let me clarify at the onset that I have visited only half of the site, Champner, the Islamic city in ruins. Haven't got a chance to visit the Pavagadh complex of Hindu temples.... More

Visited on day trip with car/driver($75) arranged by our hotel. Even with restricted toll roads, it was nearly a 3 hour trip through rural small plot farming of irrigated cotton, grain, tobacco, and bananas. 4km east of Halol, we passed through an arch, then a km of old stone walls and ruins to the Ist fenced Unesco site, 15th C... No wonder that such an ancient and interesting complex took under the protection of UNESCO. No adjectives in the superlative degree are enough to express all the beauty, strength and historical significance of the whole complex of its constituent structures belonging to different epochs and cultures. However, I was amazed at how little is done here for the tourist. Employees only... More

Quite a large area with monuments spread across the park. Jama Masjid is the most large complex among the various mosques. Can easily spend half a day exploring the historical part and then or the religious visit there is Kalika Mata temple.

Champaner Pavagadh Archaeological Park is part of Unesco World Heritage list. This site consists of many mosques, temples, stepwells etc. All the monuments have great historical significance and are highly recommended to visit.

Located at a distance of around 50 km from baroda it is a heritage site and the architecture here is quite stunning in terms of motifs and inscriptions. The park's landscape includes archaeological, historic and living cultural heritage monuments such as chalcolithic sites, a hill fortress of an early Hindu capital, and remains of the 16th-century capital of the state of Gujarat.
