Being a follower of Mahavira, Buddha is always seen by me in the same context, bringing the same calmth and respect. The place is beautiful created and managed. I thought it to be super steep to reach the top of the mountain to see the Buddha statue, but it wasn't that high. The place is under re-modeling and has a... More

The Changyu Stone Cave is a good place to see. Nice for a slow paced walk at a cool temperature of 15 degrees. A zoo with 2 beautiful huge Pandas. Not so many people on a lazy Sunday. Although the caves are the result of quarrying of stones from the past generations, it is well taken cared of. There is... More

We did not know what to expect, but it turned out to be worth our little detour. Huge area with many temples, shrines, Buddha statues and caves. The stairs were not too many for us on a day with a pleasant 20 degrees centigrade, but I guess it will be tougher during summertime.

I liked this place. Its very big and lot to see. The historical caves are good visuals about chinese culture. At the end of the day we were very tired because of walking up and down.

Cave is artificial, because it was mined during quarrying of stone in this location. Anyway, it is an amazing labyrinth of stairs and caverns. There is a music performance several times per day with classic chinese instruments to show the acustic of the place, but don't expect a professional concert.
