Langzhong ancient town is located in a semicircle of Jialing river and fully circled with mountains around it. The geographical location combined with the beautiful ancient buildings makes it worth the trip.

Hopefully the reply is not too late. Now there are regular trains from Chengdu to Langzhong, which take 2-3hours. Bus is more frequent once one hour. you can carry all your luggages on train and bus.
