Great island for a day or weekend trip. Great Airport and boat connections. great local.noodle production and local baijiu famous in all Asia. to avoid during holidays beacua packed with turists.

if you want stay at a town with everything (foods and convenient stores, accessible) yet want a peace of mind, quiet place, close to natural environment, Kinmen and small Kinmen islands are your choice
