Longji Mountains is about 2 hours drive from Guilin which takes in the Longji Rice fields and atop the mountain you will meet the Yao People. The locals are very friendly and the food is fantastic. The air is beautiful. The scenery is magnificent. Be prepared for a long hard walk up to the top of the mountain, but is... More

There is a cable car but I would highly recommend the hike through the rice terraces and villages to get here. The hike is only moderately difficult and plenty of areas to stop and enjoy the view on the way. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy with fog rolling in and out but through the breaks the view is stunning!

DON'T come here on weekends and on national holidays. I happened to come on the October weeklong holiday and the trip 3 hour trip turned into 5 hours. Getting out would be more of an issue as the queue of cars is much longer. I had to change my initial plan from going to DaZhai to going to Ping'An as... More

It is beautiful when I went there in mid-September but probably end September to early October would even be better as it would have turned yellow. My friend and I joined a group tour. Food is disgusting so I would advise that you take a packed lunch with you. Toilets as in most places in rural areas or small cities... More

Well worth the hike to get here. Goes without saying weather is a factor in terms of views. We were lucky, on our walks yesterday stunning, wet and misty today but still pleasant to be here. Having a relaxing day, even with the mist lots to see and part bonus as can't go on walk. Highly recommended and lovely village... More

The views over the rice terraces from the various viewpoints is stunning. Take a few hours to trek through them.

Worth to come! Stunning views. One day enough, it takes aprox 5-6hr to see all the spots on the mountain. Definately a must when in Guilin or near. From Guilin it takes 3hr by bus, if take the tour, and 5hr on mountain stroll on your own, after get down and go back Guilin. Suggest!

We spent one night in the Longji One Hotel, which is on the edge of what is becoming a town. There is not control over building and there are more and more hotels going up. Our hotel was basic with a comfortable room and good ensuite. The balcony was a little cramped with poor lighting. Staff were friendly but with... More

Fantastic! But I have to tell that It was my first time in a rice terrace, so it should not be difficult to impress me. During beg of April they still didn't start to plant the rice, but there was a lot of rain last winter, so the field had a lot of water, which gives a beautiful view. The... More

After seen rice terraces in Bali I thought that I would not get impressed but fortunately was wrong. The trip there was worth travelling. We went there by car but next time would like to walk all the way to the top.
