Such is the place letting you appreciate the wondrous attributes of our Mother Nature. The Zhuang tribe opted to settle here after they were ostracised during Ming Dynasty, where Han tribe was at its prime. As a result, Zhuang tribe carved a Paradise for themselves at this far flung place, away from the grasp of the Chinese Dynasty then. The... More

The views of this terrace is fantastic but visitors need to know that Oct is not a good month. This is the time for burning after the rice is harvested. Smoke rises across many areas and by evening the area is quite foggy. The air is also very smoky and you can smell the smoke in the hotel room. Those... More

I came to Guangxi in the month of August. It was summer and the weather is scorching hot and humid. My wife chided me for choosing this hot sauna period to visit and no amount of sun tan lotion that we applied on our skin could protect the epidermis layer from solar burn. It was 37 degrees in the day... More

Cannot say enough about this place. Loved every moment! There is an entrance fee for the rice terraces about ¥100 per person. It is good for both the Ping'An and Dazhai areas. We only had time to see Dazhai terraces but would highly recommend two days to see both. An overnight is a must! The sunset and sunrise are spectacular.... More

We took the bus from Guilin to the small village of Longsheng and then hiked for over an hour to the top of the rice terraces. There are three fantastic vistas that really stand out. You can get a local to hike with you because the trails are vaguely marked. At the top of the mountain/terraces we stayed with a... More

We booked a private tour for an extended weekend to got to Yangshuo - Long Sheng rice terraces is a MUST GO if you are in that area. From Yangshuo it's still a 3 hours drive to the rice terraces, for which we arranged a private driver and guide. The tour will take a whole day, and leads you through... More

I had never seen rice fields, and being in Guilin/Yanghsuo I had to take the journey to see the terraces. It was so worth it! They seem like a natural wander; how do they make the intricate design in the landscape? I booked a driver to take me from Yangshuo to Longsheng and made the most of all the views... More

This area is one of the most beautiful places to visit in China, it changes over the seasons and still keeps some of the authenticity of the Chinese agricultural areas of China, despite having a lot of tourists.

I visited this rice terrace in May, it was rainning the whole day, so I took the cable car up. The view was so beautiful up there. It took 4 hours drive from Yangshuo to Long sheng. I would love to come back in a non raining seasons so I can walk up the hill and enjoy the great air... More
