We found the village full of lived in charm. It has a real village feeling. the village proper i.e. the stream is 15 min walk from the entrance, but the path has been beautifully planned, there is a bullet train viaduct that crosses that path, but its okay. the entrance is 5 min off the main road. buses from wuyuan... I went there in April during a Chinese holiday (Qing Ming Jie) and there were not so many people as I thought there would be. The village is pretty nice and you can do it in 2 hours or less. There is a lot of food stalls and restaurants there. You can do part of the canal in a boat.... More

This was a great place to stay, even on a Chinese holiday. We stayed at the Brook Hotel. Two nights accommodation and we went cycling up the valley behind the village as well as hang out and enjoy the ambiance of the village.

The place is really nice and peaceful specially not on a Chinese holiday when its really not recommended to travel. I also had the chance to enter at night time which is a lovely experience by its own. The locals are very nice and hospitable like most local Jiangxi people.
