Visiting the Hohenwerfen Fortress and the Eisriesenwelt Ice Cave together from Salzburg makes a great day outing but get an early start as they are both lengthy attractions. This medieval castle is set in the Salzach valley and just a short drive from the town...More

Great option for 1 day trip from Salzburg. Guided tours in ticket price. Many languages available. Even Polish :) Very nice staff and good food, not pricey at all in castle's tavern.

The visit of Werfen in combination with the birds of pray is probably one of the best things to do in the area around Salzburg. Easy access with funicular and the town Werfen is very close for having lunch (Obauer Restaurant). You can certainly also...More

Amazing Castle for our family to visit. We watched a Falconry Show, and took the guided tour. It was simply amazing, and i highly recommend this 11th century Castle to anyone visiting that region of Austria.

This is a really cool castle to tour, but I would not recommend it for the handicap or the elderly that have troubles with stairs, because there are a ton of them. The falcon show is cool after the tour, but if you think you...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this castle but it was not perfect. There is an excellent lift to take you up to the start of the castle tour. We joined a guided tour which was all in German but we were given a handset...More
