Make sure you are going to the right place before you go, not many things to visit here. If you are going for the view of Mountain Fuji with a pagoda, please check Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine for the right location. These two shrines share a similar name and they are in the same area, but they are in different... More

We caught a taxi at the station and asked to be taken to what we thought was a significant shrine. It was OK but our taxi driver with the help of an electronic translator suggested we should consider going Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine to which we readily agreed. If the translator worked accurately this is apparently the most powerful shrine... More

The views on a clear day are spectacular on Mt Fuji. You have to come here and spend at least an hour. You will be rewarded for your time. FYI you can drive up to it if you dont fancy the stairs. Watch out for the monkeys :)

This is such a beautiful place, serene hike to the pagoda. Scenery is wonderful. Check the weather before you go, want a good view of Fuji! The only reason I would take a star off would be because foreign visitors seem to struggle greatly finding how to get here and then how to get back to hotels (Tokyo mainly) trains... More

this small shrine, which in itself isn't very interesting is well worth the detour if you are in the area (if the weather is nice) as the views of Mt. Fuji are incomparable. You can really feel how huge the mountain is from this angle. And the stairs look worse than they actually are, it takes just a few minutes.

Highly recommended to take a train from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyu Line to Shimoyoshida Station and do a brief 10 mins walk to the entrance of the pagoda. Once exit from Shimoyoshida Station there is a guide map on the walking path to the entrance and this walking path provides a different sight of Mount Fuji with paddy green... More

This is Asama Sengen Shrine. There is no Chureito Pagoda here. The Pagoda is at the Arakura Sengen Shrine near Shimo-Yoshida station.

Fantastic view!!! A must see if you are in the Mt. Fuji area!!! On a clear beautiful day, you have the Red Pagoda and Fuji-San in your background. So, bring a nice camera and snap away. Plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill. Ensure that you have comfortable shoes. The stairs up to the Chureito Pagoda is a... More

I had seen this picture many a times on web and so we had decided that we shall surely visit this place to take a family picture. However when you reach here, you will realise that getting a family pic in front of the Pagoda and Mt Fuji is difficult. However to take the picture of the landscape, this is... More

If you google Mt. Fuji and see Fuji in background with Red Pagoda, this is the place where the photo was took from. Best time to visit is sunrise or sunset. However, if you travel through public transport, you can only see sunset which itself is mesmerizing (see picture).
