A perfect spot to see Fujiyama
Apr 2021
In this spot, you can capture the beauty of Fujiyama only as a single object, but also together with a pagoda or a shrine gate. It brings you to the next level of seeing the Fujiyama.

a beautiful weekend in Kawaguchiko
Jun 2020
the climb was worth the sweat :-)
the view is breathtaking, unfortunately mount Fuji was covered with clouds but this mountain has a charm of its own, we think about going back some day, hopefully without clouds.

Stunning view of Mt.Fuji
Jan 2020
This place is worth the 400 set of stair to get up to see the view. On a clear day you can see the whole city and a sunning view of Mt.Fuji.

Nice lookout point
Jan 2020 • Solo
Need to spend some effort going up the steep 389 steps staircase in order to reach the lookout area. However, worth the effort cos the view of Mt Fuji + Pagoda is perfect! On another hand, we spend 45 and 30mins going up and down the Kachi Kachi Ropeway too a day before. So they both serve the same purpose of getting better lookout to Mt Fuji so you just need to choose one!!
Conclusion, if you want better view Pagoda, but need to ride on 15mins train at Kawaguchiko Station that cost 620 yen return tickets, and need to spend another 20 to 30mins on foot to go to the shrine and go up the staircase. Convenient wise is the Ropeway as its very closed to Kawaguchiko station and served by touring bus evey 15 mins and the bus stops right outside the ropeway station.

Pray for a clear view on Mount Fuji
Apr 2019
Top spot for a view on Mount Fuji. Unfortunately when we visited the view was blocked by the clouds.
Still worthwhile going out cause the clouds might open up every minute. Just hope and pray you'll get the view while there.

Site of Famous Japan Tourism Mt Fuji Pose with Pagoda
Nov 2019
It's seen on many a magnet and T-shirt - the iconic pix of Mt Fuji with a pagoda and cherry blossoms in the foreground come from this hilltop. Except it's actually low housing in the foreground and not fields of the sakura flowers (whc you can find on some trees). The place is scenic and the views spectacular. BUT you have to climb 398 stone steps - or a long winding path - in order to get to to the top. If you require a walking stick, do bring it which I did and it was a great help. The views are worth it but it can be a chore if you are utterly unfit.

Great Mt Fuji View
Oct 2019
Well worth the hike up the hundreds of stairs. Go early to get a clear view of Mt Fuji and some great photo opportunities. If you are lucky you might even see a bear in the woods (according to the warning signs!) The shrine itself is quite impressive and adds local character to your photos.

A great experience
Feb 2019 • Couples
We caught the train from Skytree and walked 10minutes to the temple. It was very busy with tourists and locals. We paid 100yen to learn our fortune with the Omikuji paper fortunes. I was very lucky to pick Best Fortune. If you get a bad fortune you tie it to a rack and leave your bad luck behind.
We walked through the fresh food market and enjoyed everything we ate.
There are great photo opportunities with the temple and Skytree in the background. Some of the locals dressed in traditional clothing also made good photos. We stayed until dark and the river at night is stunning.
