We went with a tour group with this as the first stop. It was amazing to to think that we were at the base of Mt Fuji. Didn't get a good view because of the fog.

My friend and I took a bus tour to see Mt. Fuji. It's a very beautiful sight. This location is very nice and affords spectacular views of the Japanese Alps. The tour company was Hato

Whether you're planning to trek up to My. Fuji's Summit or are just there for lunch / a brief time - the 5th Station is a great stopover. Plenty of shops offering souvenirs, food and beverages, last minutes things to pick up before the hike...More

Getting up to the 5th station was pretty cool with a tour group. While you can get treated to little gift shops and eating places, the view of Mt Fuji is pretty amazing. Next time might try and plan hiking up to the summit which...More

Wonderful stop before and after our climb. Check weather before you go. We started our climb to 8 1/2 station late in the afternoon so we were climbing with headlamps from the 8th station up. It was a beautiful climb up but it began to...More

We wanted to see Mt Fuji from up close however, due to health reasons couldn't hike up it, so we went to the Mt Fuji Fifth Station and were very impressed. We were lucky with the weather as some days the fog rolls in and...More

The 5th station provides the basic amenities for a hiker. It's an excellent place to stop over before the climb. The environment is surreal and fun as climbers gather in groups before starting the hike to Mt Fuji Summit

We came here with a tour bus and it was so rushed. The bus only gave us half an hour and all we could do was literally go into the souvenier shop and out. It was such a waste after travelling hours and not get...More

Mt. Fuji 5th station, we can take pictures of Mt. Fuji from this spot and from the shrine on this spot. Many tourists visit this station.

We went here on a tour bus but if I ever come back I will definitely do this without a tour as there simply was not enough time. We had 30 minutes, just enough time to visit a souvenir shop and that's about it however...More

Yes should be fine. Please carry enough woolen clothes as the 5th station has strong winds and would be winter time in November. We travelled in June last wk and was cold and windy.

Hi Churring. I am not sure if I can give you a precise answer. But from what I know when there's snow, you can drive up to 3rd station, the most. This may not be updated though. Also, it is always recommended to use snow... More

It also depends on when you are going. If during a popular travel time (like spring of fall), definitely book in advance. As for English, it is limited everywhere. That is not a criticism of the Japanese; their language is... More
