Better than expected, don't just take pictures of it, go in it.

This castle was much better than expected. To be honest my main reason for visiting was the amazing views but this castle is so much more than that. You could easily spend several hours learning about its vast history and exploring the maze like rooms inside. Staff were all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic Views and well worth a visit

Marvellous castle, great views, lots of lovely vantage points. Interesting displays in and around the castle and very helpful staff. Well worth the visit, and would suit all ages.

The cafe was closed when we visited towards the end of the season, but there are quite a few cafes and restaurants around the pretty harbour.

The weather was lovely, so we spent quite a few hours here.

Another Jersey Heritage pass site. A real castle’s castle with prisons and great halls as well as a maze of stair wells and dark corridors. Worth a visit!

Excellent castle to visit

Fantastic castle to visit. Lots of steps, but very easy to get to the top of the castle which is well worth it for the beautiful views. Good information throughout which is very interesting. Several installations tell the history of the castle.

Enjoyable visit with excellent guide

This and visit to Corbiere lighthouse were highlights on recent short break to Jersey. Enthusiastic and informative guide brought history to life explaining different aspects during a group tour.... ours was a large group so had to split into two once reached the top so we didn't overwhelm the narrow steep winding staircases. A really enjoyable session and the wewell ather was kind too... worth a visit

Breathtaking

A magnificent castle. Steeped in magical and mystical history. Stories of ghosts, sounds and sights which would scare the most stable of people. It was a great adventure in one of the most beautiful castles I have had the pleasure to visit. Rooms everywhere and a spiders web of walkways in a setting stunning enough to soothe the soul, as one takes in the majesty of the breathtaking views out across to France. Worth a visit. And worth lunching at a place called ‘feast’ just below on the row of buildings opposite the harbour.

Fascinating

Amazing place to explore for all the family. Really interesting with targeted activities for children (amazing dressing up room!). Some of the information boards need replacing as they are difficult to read but overall a very informative site. Some of the stairways would not be suitable for very small children. This is not suitable for those of limited mobility.
