I wasn't at all impressed by this place. I've been to one concentration camp before (that of Buchenwald), which left a deep impression on me, but this place claimed no such effect. For one thing very little remains of it, so you have to imagine...More

I have visited a number of camps but thankfully have not become anaesthetised to their horrors yet. They all have their own ghastly tale to tell. Fascinating to see the commandant'sl splendid villa as you approach the camp. It looks as though it is lived...More

Approximately an hour away from Gdansk by bus, which runs until 4pm daily. This is the first camp I've ever visited and it was a very emotional experience, particularly the gas chamber and the exhibit of victim's shoes. A very sombre, quiet atmosphere, with a...More

A truly harrowing and humbling place, whilst a large percentage is no longer there what is left has great content, the only bit which would help if it was all multi lingual, I say this as the majority of the camp or in 3 languages...More

You can get to the concentration camp from Gdansk by bus. The bus you need is 870 towards Krynica Morska and leaves twice an hour from the bus station which is situated on 3 Maja, behind the train station (Gdansk Glowny). The journey takes about...More

Yeah we got a taxi from Gdansk to camp. Then we got a bus home, they're fairly regular and found that worked well for us!
