we visited when the medieval festival was on. The lift is handy and has interesting images on the walk way. The castle itself is beautiful and has been kept so well. We enjoyed falconry and fireworks. Will return

Castle rooms contain many fascinating individually carved stone statues dramatically lit. They date from 3000 BC and are unique to this region. Interesting films in English. Castle has good views from battlements. Combined entry fee for castle and statue exhibition.
