Very easy to find from the main town. Visitors centre with good information about the volcanoes on the island. It was very windy up at the top of the volcano! The walk wasn't very long although I believe there are other walks you can do...More

This is worth a visit as you can walk around the crater and also see the Volcan Teneguia, there is a movie about what happened and it is just a good little attraction to visit.

We had a great walk, down towards the lighthouse and struggling back up the hill to the Visitor Centre by which time the cloud had settled in and you couldn't see a thing. Should have looked at the Volcano while we had the chance.

it is only a short walk round the rim of this crater (~30min) but it is very spectacular - given that it only erupted in 1971. You pay 5 euros per person to enter the site (irrespective of whether you take your car in or...More

Full day trip but no lunch provided. Trip gave a good idea of La Palma and the volcanic activity - very informative. Trip curtailed due to snow and ice on the upper caldera road. Scenery quite spectacular and dramatic. Coach, driver and guide excellent. Pity...More

The answer is easy on the bus. You catch the 200 or 201 to Funtecaliente, from the rank of bus stops near the port on south side of town center in Santa Cruz. It was really cheap, around 4 euros. Then walk the 1 mile... More
