Really nice to see how this salt is made. The colors are amazing to see. The environment is kind of spectacular as well, if you love the rough south side of the island of La Palma. The salt is sold in every supermarket and it...More

A very interesting place to visit there is a self guided tour which is free and each area has an information board to explain what is happening, workers are working while you are there which is good to see.

We really enjoyed this and there is also a marine museum and display close by that details the work being done in the marine reserve. Worth a visit and there are also a couple of black sand beaches to visit as well

A self-guided tour around the salt pans to understand the process of how it is made. We hired bikes from Tenguia Princess and cycled 9k to get there which is a beautiful cycle. A lovely cafe on the roof terrace to enjoy the views.

An interesting drive to the Salinas with great views. The colours in the different sections of the "ponds" were fascinating. Cafe and restaurant good so a good place to visit on a tour round the southern tip of the island.

The way the salt pans are run is explained on a number of signboards. More to it that you’d think. Nice shop full of salt based gifts. Restaurant does pretty good food and not too expensive

Staying at the Princess hotel, which was wonderful, did cause withdrawal symptoms from good coffee but this place served excellent coffee. Prices are very reasonable with good varied menu. It’s a good walk or short drive from the hotel. The fish, we had Grouper and...More

Took the 13:20 bus from The Princess Hotel, costing €1.37 each way. We had thought to walk, but we're put off by the 9 kms and the lack of scenery for most of the way, banana plantations line the road. The old lava flow around...More
