Definitely worth a visit!
Sep 2021
Loved this tour! We visited on our way back to San Jose from La Fortuna and almost skipped it, but we are so glad we didn't! We showed up early (1.5 hours) and they were able to accommodate us by starting early, which was extremely nice. We learned a lot about coffee - what set this apart from coffee tours we had been on in the past (in Hawaii) was that Gabriel talked about the brewing process as well as the plants and the coffee process itself, and allowed us to try different varieties and roasting blends to taste the difference. The tour included a lot of focus on sustainability, and how their farm has evolved, which was fascinating. The wine was excellent and a unique experience to taste other products made from things on the farm! I wish we could go again!

A Must Do Activity In Costa Rica !!
Sep 2021
We want to thank Gabriel and his wife for an amazing experience. The tour was so much fun and educational. We enjoyed the coffee tasting and learned about how coffee was grown and processed. You don't have to be a coffee lover to enjoy this experience. Gabriel offered insight into agricultural farming around Costa Rica and how they can use new ideas when utilizing the coffee plant. If you are in the Central Valley and Atenas area, this is a must do activity.

A Must
Jul 2021
This was so fun! Gabriel and his wife did a fantastic job explaining how they farm their organic coffee as well as how they use all parts of the plant, including making tea and wine. We did a coffee tasting with light food pairings--just like a wine tasting. Then we got to do a wine tasting with the wine they make out of the coffee fruit. I've never heard of such a thing, but it was delicious. The whole experience was unexpectedly unique, informative, and interesting from start to finish.

We loved our experience with Gabriel and his wife, Yvette. He is highly knowledgable and well spoken. He's all about innovation and diversification. He's committed to using the whole plant and has amazing coffee TEA and wine made from the fruit. I highly recommend visiting El Toledo Coffee and supporting this terrific farm & family.

One of the Best Tours We've Ever Had
Jun 2021
This was a highlight for sure! Very interactive and informative. Our kids (teens) LOVED this well. Very conscious about nature and regenerative farming, and so fun to be able to see all of the fruits and herbs as well as the coffee. Highly Recommend - one of the best tours we've ever had.

From the Heart

This was an eye opening experience into the growing of coffee beans. We were shown the sustainable way of growing coffee. We appreciated this tour very much and opened our eyes to the manufacturing process of coffee. I don't take if for granted like I used to.
