The parc is a nice option for families with children. The area is secured and has different spots to observe families of wolves and get explanation about there race, life style, organization, diet, etc. Also, a show with different birds of prey is organized twice per day in the central part of the parc.
If you are a couple or group of friends, a hike in the surroundings of the parc and the lake Le Boréon is more fun.

I visited the park right after the eight week lockdown, so there were really few people, half of the park is closed but the wolves are There, it is like a zoo, they are fed and they are almost tame and you can watch them very well through a glass window, I liked the experience and the whole site is really beautiful and well maintained. It is worthwhile if you are in the region, a nice stop over to get some beautiful portraits of wolves

Having read the last two reviews we very reluctantly agreed to visit this park as our youngest had set her heart on it.
We were glad we did!
It is true that the park is more than 1 hour from Nice due to the very windy roads as you climb the mountains- but what a spectacular view as you go!
It is also true there is currently some construction underway (hence I have a 4 not 5 star review).
It is not true however that there is only 200m of pathway open. There was plenty. It is easy walking so suitable for all ages although as the paths are quite stony, more difficult for pushchairs and probably unsuitable for wheelchairs.
The park is absolutely beautiful with plenty of picnic tables. There were a couple of restaurants too although we did not use them but everywhere looked very clean including the toilets.
We saw loads of wolves (although only two of the three packs). We observed them both from the hides and through the fences and we all found this to be a magical experience. Unfortunately my phone only focussed on the fence or I would have added lots of pictures. In reality you could see the wolves clearly. It did not feel in any way like you were observing them in an artificial environment like a zoo or safari park.
Most of the wolves were resting and we were not there to see them fed.
There is lots of information about wolves around the place but mainly in French so more useful if you can understand that -although small amounts were in English.
The staff that we had any interaction with were all helpful and friendly.
The falconry show was interesting (not as spectacular as some I have seen) but very informative. Again this was in French so only useful if you are with a french speaker, although the lady who did this show spoke fairly slowly and clearly so even someone with only a GCSE in French (i.e me) could understand at least some of it. There was an opportunity to hold some of the birds too.
The little farm is of more interest to very small children.
Our ten year old thought it is important to say there were two fences between you and the wolves so there was no chance of being bitten- this was something that had worried her!
Definitely visit this park but if you are coming from the coast bring something warm as it is a good 10-15 degrees cooler up there!

Having driven up from Nice, which is a long but beautiful drive, and read that the opening times are set at 10 am until 5 pm (6 pm July August) all year round. We were saddened to find that the last viewing for the day has been at 1 pm an hour before we arrived! We asked whether the park would be open the following day being Wednesday and it wasn’t. Bitterly disappointed as had heart set on seeing walls in their natural environment. For Park need to update its opening times! Make sure you book in advance to ensure you are not disappointed.

We visited this park on the 13th of November. The road trip to this place is gorgeous, it took us 1h30 from Antibes and it was the most beautiful ride I've ever had.
The park is big enough to spend a day on a relaxed schedule, so you can watch the wolves before and during their feeding times (the feeding time is different for different packs of wolves), have a walk around, watch the movies about wolves and humans, eat at the restaurant (reblochonnade is recommended). We managed to see one feeding, wolves were there a few hours before, so we could enjoy seeing them interacting and resting. Canadian wolves were impressively big and beautiful. You should come and see the wolves before or during the feeding time, as afterwards they hide and sleep for the rest of the day. there are 22 wolves, we managed to see about 15 wolves. The personnel of the park is very friendly and told us a lot about the life of the wolves. It was splendid trip to a beautiful place where we could observe magestic wolves.

Wolves are being reintroduced to the wild across Southern France and while there is a hot local debate about whether this is a good idea, Parc Alpha has picked up the baton to show the public more about the life of the wolf. The Parc is well and clearly laid out, with many hides for spotting the wolves. There are 2 wolf packs, each enclosed within a separate area, but with plenty of space - so a tip is to visit at the advertised 'feeding time' when you will be sure to see the wolves waiting for their regular supply!
While the wolves themselves are the main attraction there are also educational areas showing videos and displays about how wolves survive; a 'farm' area, with more domesticated animals for children and also showing how farming was carried out in the past; and the usual gift shops and restaurant, with well aintinaed facilities. There is plenty of parking!
The drive up to the Parc is through the gorge of the Vesubie River, which is most dramatic and there are several delightful small towns on the way.
This is an attraction of equal interest to children and adults - we went as a middle-aged couple and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

This is a small park containing the wolves. Excellent ambiance with guided tour. You can watch the wolves in their way of living. Well maintained n organised. A nice boutique in the premises where you can buy the souvenirs. A educational theater as well where they show the documentary film on the wolves. Overall a nice n the only one park in this area.

The drive to the park is lovely through the Gorge, so is the natural surroundings in witch the park is situated. The entry to the park w tourist office is nicely built and has almost a jurassic kind of feel to it. However, as soon as our interactions with the staff started, expectations dropped. Lady at counter didn't really give us the impression that she felt like providing a service and she made trouble out of serving the nice family in front of us, whether to choose a family ticket and extra kids, e.g. Instead of just counting the lot and providing the best offer, it seemed to be a difficult negotiation between guest and park interest. We had a few days before visited the apple store in Cap3000 and made some fun comparissons between the different approaches to service taken here.
The poor first impressions of service were soon supported by the fact that no toilet paper was available in the ladies room. Luckily my mother and daughters had brought their own paper tissues :/
As we entered the park itself we were met with a very well constructed set of houses and a bridge across the little river. The newly build, medieval looking linghouses also supported the jurassic impression of the setting. We were soon met by a guide who provided us with all the necessary info in english. He was nice and service minded and instructed us how to find our way around the park. With a special focus on videos and animations we coul attend. However, our interest was real wolves, so after eating a quick lunch, we set for the wolf tour.
When entering the wolf area, you almos immediately reach the wolves behind the tall, jurrassic'ish fences. Quite impressive and an interesting contrast in this beautiful nature. The wolves were easy to spot and seemed to slender about within the fencing, not worrying to much about the spectators. Personally I found it exciting to see the wolves as it was the first time.
After the wolve area, a beaten path guided us through a quick tour of the forest. At the end, there was a small farm house with goats and some super cute and fluffy rabbits. This was definitely the no.1 attraction to my girls. Out trip around the park took around 1,5 hour. I would say that my expectations were slightly higher, based on the reviews here on TripAdvisor. However, my rating of this park mostly emphasize my interest in visiting this tourist attraction again.

An incredible experience, good for all ages! The park is so well organized that the interest is kept high all throughout the visit. We spent 4 hours on-site without even noticing. Especially recommended: the tutorial movies explaining the wolves but also their interaction with their environment. The staff is particularly friendly, available and helpful. Highly recommended for nature lovers and families, as you can be as close as 3 feet away from the pack ... through the windows!

We visited Alpha parc des loups in August. It took us over three hours to get there from the small village we were staying in. This was not the problem at all, we knew it wasn't close and the scenery and villages we passed through along the way were very pretty. The wildlife park itself was beautiful, well maintained and the birds of prey/falconry show was excellent. However, when it came to viewing the wolves, this was the most disappointing part: we did not get to see them! Admittedly, it was August and therefore peak season, but with the really tiny little viewing point and the crowds, it was very, very difficult to catch a glimpse of the wolves at feeding time. I felt there should have been a much bigger viewing point or even if there were several viewing points around the enclosure to allow more people to see the wolves. The wolves, after all, were the main reason we came here. Overall, we were quite disappointed with this park and would definitely not recommend it.

Cordialement.
