The place is put together in a very nice way. One can learn a lot about how things have been earlier in the surrounding. They usually have some activities for kids. However we parents did feel ourselves also well.

I return every 3 years to this wonderful place. The pace is slow, unhurried...plenty of time to sit and reflect, imagine, and absorb the past! The atmosphere is kind, warm, inviting. Only people who are interested in the kind of living of farmers in Germany especially Bavaria in former times should visit this original reconstructed farmhouses. For my wife and me who in the 50s lived as children after the chaos of WW II it remembered us to our childhood. The houses of the museum are 100 years older than this.... More

We were taken to this museum by our German relatives who live nearby. This outdoor museum shows German farm buildings from around the 16th century to about the 19th century. After buying your ticket, you get earphones and an audio player with commentary (German only) focused on each building. You can target the commentary by punching in the number that... More

Not huge, but very nice. Has the most beautifull beehouse ever seen in an open air museum! In the mill an interesting exhibition about stenciling.
