Great place to stop by off the motorway and explore the beautiful gardens. There is lots of cafes and restaurants to eat in but they are quite expensive like the garden entrance fee.

Lovely gardens astride the Vartry river in pleasant Ashford Co Wicklow. Excellent tree trail with 80 plus specimens to see. Rhododendrons glorious. Some venerable trees. Eucalyptus especially majestic. One downside is the absence of markers/details on ground plants and shrubs. Good food at the cafe and a selection of small shops. Site is owned by Avoca Weavers and the prices... More

A few years back we decided to stop off and call into Mount Usher Gardens, it was a place we wanted to see but never really got around to it. The place is absolutely amazing and is just so quiet, comfortable and is really great to explore and investigate a such a beautiful garden. We have come back often however... More

Definitely stop by and have a walk through the lovely garden here. After a walk you can sit down for some snacks, enjoy a beer and the sunshine (given the sun is out of course).

very easy to find and well worth a visit. We visited on a grey overcast day with rain but the colours of the bulbs and bluebells was beautiful. The trees were just starting to bud . It would be a good idea for there to be photos of the trees in all their glory for people who cant visit all... More

We visited in late March so a lot of the trees and flowers were not in their full glory however, even without that this place is amazing. The variety of trees, and other plants is outstanding. You can just wander around or follow a path outlined in the map you get in the ticket office.

Nice pit stop when travelling to or from Wexford just off the M11 in Ashford Co Wicklow. Always packed however the staff always magically are able to find us a table. Great food offering, the Duck Liver Pate is a favourite of ours along with the Open Crab Sandwich. I'm normally against service charge been included on the bill as... More

This garden was fabulous. There was the woodland area which was well laid out with very unusual trees and then the informal gardens, full of plants, shrubs and trees. I loved the fact that it was not prisitine and in neat little rows. It was a riot of colours and there was something to see in every corner. Watch out... More

I stopped at the place with my wife and 1-year old son. They have 2 areas to park so you probably can find a place to stay close. The entrance of the gardens is in a area with a cafe and some small shops where you can spend some money afterwards. The entrance to the gardens cost € 7,5 per... More
