Attractive beaches but a soulless place built only for a basic style of tourism

Mikri Vigla was a serious disappointment on an outing I took from Naxos town. The bus left me by the beach on the south side of the headland - a long and sandy stretch with some attractive rocks and trees, and pleasant views apart from...More

Sandy, long beach. Beautiful. The road there is sand and bumpy. We were told they were going to pave it. The dust and grit from the road can be challenging, but the beach and surrounding area are worth the visit.

Too windy, catches the wind. Limited facilities. No good tavernas. Very hard to access unless peak season, not worth the bother stay on St George's or agia Anna

We spent 2 weeks in Naxos and once we discovered Mikri Vigla beach it was our daily beach for 10 days. Long expanse of granular sand that once your dry does not stick to you, crystal clear blue water, reasonable daily rental of beach chairs...More

So glad we kept driving along the coast to find this one. Less populated when we were there compared to Agios Prokopious and even Plaka. Pebble sand but it is like that on most beaches. The cool thing is there is a kite surfing school...More

This is a nice beach, a few different umbrella and beach chair services. There is a restaurant on the beach in which you can buy a glass of wine or a beer for very cheap. Nudist and topless sunbathers sprinkled about if that is a...More

This beach is the next beach past the famous Plaka. It faces West and seems to be permanently windy. It' no wonder that so many winsurfers and kitesurfers use it to practise their sport which in itself provides a colourful spectacle. The bit closest to...More

I was here with some friends for a day and the place is really fantastic, the beach is long and the water transparent. The negative aspects regarding three points: the wind, too strong; the restaurant, the only place to drink or eat something with a...More

It is a very nice beach. People who are interested in kite surf they will surely enjoy it. If the weather is windy it is best to avoid this beach.

It is a beautiful beach, protected from the northern wind and it's great for exploration on the rocks. It is also a place where you can rent loungers and sit and relax.

It depends on the winds, it might be calm or rough! Nevertheless its beautiful. You may also want to go to the beach further down, Parthena beach, or Liofago or Orkos beach or Plaka beach. Depends the time of the year... More
