I really wanted to like this place, especially after all the positive Tripadvisor reviews. Gavalas is definitely traditional and the tasting area is so quaint and lovely - like going back in time. However, there's no view of the caldera. We tasted all 8 wines...More

There was barely anyone to welcome us. From a winery I expect that they offer a specific taste buildup, but no just choose a couple of wines they said. You pay by the wine you taste, which is about 1,50 up to 2 euro per...More

The Parmigiana Crostoni is a dream. The Champagne cocktails are to die for. Definitely a great spot away from the masses.

We visited this winery on a tour and had a lovely experience. The wine is great and the history of the winery is fantastic. The vincento is still produced via old methods which is very cool.

Even though they were botling their wine when we arrived, the son of the owner received us and we had a nice tasting. Recommend the Assyrtiko and of course their Vinsanto.
